1. Plan Ahead:
Reservations are your key to hassle-free dining at Disneyland. You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance for most dining experiences. Whether you're dreaming of dining with Disney princesses or savoring a delectable meal at one of the park's iconic restaurants, booking in advance is highly recommended.
2. Booking Options:
You have two convenient ways to make reservations: through the Disneyland App or online. The Disneyland App is your go-to tool for managing all aspects of your park visit, including dining reservations.
3. Park Capacity Days:
Keep in mind that a dining reservation doesn't guarantee entry into the park on capacity days when Disneyland temporarily closes due to high attendance. However, on such days, you won't be charged the $10 per person penalty if your dining reservation falls within the time the park was closed.
4. Children and Dining:
Disney considers children aged 3-9 as children, while adults are anyone above that age. Children aged 2 and younger are not included in your bill, but remember to include them when making your reservation so that the restaurant can prepare seating accordingly.
5. Stroller Rules:
Strollers are not allowed inside most table service and many counter service restaurants within and outside the Disneyland Resort. Don't worry; stroller parking is available nearby to keep your little ones safe.
6. Dining Options:
Disneyland offers two main dining options: Quick Service and Table Service. Quick Service involves no waiter or waitress; you simply walk to the counter to order and retrieve your food. Table Service offers waiter or waitress service, and reservations are often needed or recommended.
7. Cancellation Policy:
Reservations must be canceled within 24 hours of your dining time. If not, the credit card placed on file when your reservation was made will be charged $10 per person on the reservation.
8. Dining Plans:
Unlike Walt Disney World, Disneyland does not use a Dining Plan system.
9. Special Diets and Allergies:
Disney goes the extra mile to accommodate special diets and allergy sensitivities. Be sure to leave details of your needs when making reservations, and don't hesitate to ask for allergy-related menus and speak to a chef to ensure your needs are met.
10. Outside Food and Beverage:
Official Disney policy states that outside food and beverages are not allowed into the park unless they are designated for guests with specific dietary restrictions. However, in practice, security often allows most food and drinks. If you choose to bring outside food, please be respectful and dine in areas not connected to a restaurant serving paying guests. Remember, glass containers and alcohol are not permitted.
Disneyland is all about making your visit as convenient as possible, and that includes dining. Mobile Check-in is a fantastic feature offered at select table-service restaurants, and here's how it works:
1. What You Need:
To use Mobile Check-in, you'll need your phone, the Disneyland mobile app, and a dining reservation at a participating restaurant. The app must have the latest version installed, and location services must be enabled.
2. The Check-in Process:
When your check-in window arrives, you'll receive a push notification via the app or can begin the check-in process by scanning the QR code near the restaurant's entrance. No need to visit the host stand.
3. Confirmation and Arrival:
From the notification in the Disneyland App, you can confirm your arrival time and party details. When your table is ready, you'll receive a notification via the app to proceed to a specified location.
4. Arriving Together:
Ensure your entire party arrives at the same time, as you'll be seated upon arrival.
Using Mobile Check-in is a fantastic way to maximize your time and minimize contact with others, enhancing your overall Disneyland experience.
In conclusion, Disneyland Dining Reservations are your ticket to enjoying magical meals and creating unforgettable memories in the heart of the Disney world. By understanding the reservation process, dining options, and making use of Mobile Check-in, you can make the most of your Disneyland dining experience. So, plan ahead, savor the delicious food, and let the Disney magic surround you during every meal of your visit!
